Description of Project:

Allianz Field is a dedicated open air Soccer Stadium, with a seating capacity of almost 20,000.  Olympic was responsible for multiple scopes of work on this project, so coordination was critical to project success.  (See below for more details)  We had a great crew on this project, with multiple foremen taking care of all of our different scopes of work.  The fast-paced schedule required good communication.  Team owners were very engaged in this project and are extremely happy with their new home.

Major Challenge:

Exterior enclosure systems were fairly complex, one major hurdle was to achieve NFPA 285 code compliance with many different components, installed by multiple contractors. Olympic played a significant role in coordinating that effort.  The project also had significant subcontracting and workforce participation requirements.

Description of Project:

Complete renovation of the exterior wall system.  The existing brick and metal panel was removed back to the metal stud framing.  The framing was coated with a rust inhibitive primer or replaced if necessary.  New Densglass sheathing was installed along with spray foam insulation.  The sheating was sprayed with ExoAir 130 Fluid Applied Air Barrier. A new metal panel wall system was then applied as the final exterior facade.

Major Challenge:

The entire exterior renovation was competed with the Science Museum still open for business.  The scaffold system was completely enclosed for safety and protection from rain and wind.  While working on the Omin Theater, limited hours were available, so that customers experiencing movies on the large screen would not be disturbed by construction noise.

Description of Project:

A complete renovation of the existing Anderson Hall on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College.

Major Challenge:

Working through existing conditions while achieving a high level of finish and maintaining the schedule while portions of the roof were being replaced.

Description of Project:

Turning existing Hotel pool area into a smoke free Casino and bar/lounge area.  Constructing a small addition with fireproofing and EIFS to match existing.

Major Challenge:

Interior buildout of new Casino area on a fast tract schedule as it was designed.  Constructing detailed, curved soffit system in bar/lounge area within a short schedule.

Description of Project:

Mix-Use Development with retail spaces on 1st Floor (concrete/steel construction), and 99 senior & market rate housing apartment units on 2nd-4th Floors (wood framed construction) - total building square footage 360,000 sq. ft.

Major Challenge:

Coordination of multiple activities/trades on a congested job-site under winter conditions.  Complex exterior wall assemblies, exterior & interior barrel vault ceilings.  Loft units at upper floors.

Description of Project:

2-story demolition and expansion, including 55-bed residential and out-patient treatment center.

Major Challenge:

Connecting expansion to the existing historical structure without damaging that structure.
