Monday Toolbox Talks

It's nine o'clock on a rainy Monday morning in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Our crew starts to huddle in an open corridor at one of Olympic Companies' larger job sites, the Riverview Surgical Center along the Missouri River. Before work begins, Safety Director Todd Tilberg gathers the team for a Toolbox Talk, our weekly check-in where we talk about safety concerns, lessons, and reminders that affect the wellbeing of everyone on our job site.

On this particular day, Tilberg shares a real-world story regarding the importance of tool and ladder safety. Afterwards, the team shares their own similar stories and reminds one another to look out for opportunities to create a safer workplace for themselves and their teammates. These weekly talks are an integral part of our company, and we know it's a priority for each and every one of our employees, their families, and the other companies we share job sites with.

This year, we'll talk to our employees about our commitment to being a leader in workplace safety and share our conversations here. Stay safe and stay tuned!
