Olympic Helping Bring New Life to Vacant Downtown Jaguar Site

Written by

Olympic is proud to be part of the 222 Hennepin project team that is currently transforming the Minneapolis Jaguar site into a 286 unit luxury apartment complex. The project is located in downtown Minneapolis on the corner of Hennepin and Washington Avenues.

The general contractor and architect of record is Ryan Cos. US, Inc. They are also part owner on the project. The site is that of the old downtown Jaguar dealership that has been vacant since closing 8 years ago.

New construction will contain two connected buildings; one six story and one seven story, anchored by Whole Foods. The existing parking ramp is being salvaged and the new building is going up around it.
Olympic's scope of work includes metal framing, spray polyurethane foam insulation, drywall, fireproofing, and EIFS.

The project contains two unique towers on the corners of Hennepin and 1st Ave North. The towers are being constructed out of light gauge load-bearing metal framing along with prefabricated metal roof trusses.

The fast track schedule of the building has an opening slated for summer 2013.
